PITCHBLACK Announces New Guitarist

April 19, 2008

Danish modern "melodeath thrashers" PITCHBLACK, who were recently honored in the "Best Debut Album" category at the Danish Metal Awards, have issued the following update:

"PITCHBLACK has now got a fifth member after Trold [guitar] left two months ago. His unholy name is Krist and he has been around in several Danish metal bands since the early '90s. Among these bands are PSY:CODE, where both Schou and Dag from PITCHBLACK also play. From the start, Krist was our favorite to take over the missing spot in our band, and except a few songs he has already learned all the PITCHBLACK material VERY, VERY FAST. Like all the other of us, he loves Swedish death metal (and SLAYER of course),he plays fucking fast and he's from our city Copenhagen! We are indeed also honored to have him join in. He will be a real gift for PITCHBLACK in the future!!"

PITCHBLACK recently posted two new rehearsal-recording-quality tracks on its MySpace page"Revenge" and "I Return".

The band's debut album, "Designed to Dislike", was released in Denmark on August 13, 2007 via Target Distribution.

The group's video for the song "Angelized" can be viewed below.

"Designed to Dislike" was produced by Steen Mogensen (CORNERSTONE, ex-ROYAL HUNT).

Formed in late 2002, PITCHBLACK released two demo tapes prior to recording its debut album: 2003's "No Sympathy Left" and 2004's "PitchBlack Promo 2004".
